In addition to this structured approach, Daniel also places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. He believes that understanding the dynamic between therapist and client can offer valuable insight into how you relate to others in your life.

His style is collaborative and human. He is not a “blank slate” therapist and is open to sharing parts of himself when it supports the work, creating a more authentic and connected experience.

A Therapist Who Understands

Daniel is a gay, cisgender man who has lived in New York City for over 15 years. His experiences living in different parts of the country and abroad have shaped his multicultural perspective and approach to therapy.

His background in documentary television, where he interviewed people from a wide range of life experiences, sparked his interest in the stories we tell about ourselves. This perspective continues to inform his work today, helping clients explore and reshape the narratives that shape their lives.

Experience and Background

Daniel holds a background in both psychology and film and television production. Before becoming a therapist, he worked in documentary television, interviewing individuals from diverse and often complex backgrounds.

This experience deepened his understanding of human behavior and storytelling, ultimately leading him to pursue a career in therapy. He has since trained extensively in trauma-informed care, including work at a refugee center in East Africa.

His approach combines this depth of experience with practical tools to help clients better understand themselves and move forward with intention.
